Albert Valine
Dear friends and family,
We are grief-stricken and filled with sorrow to share with all of you, our beloved puppy Albert passed away last month.
It was cardiomyopathy, the cause is not specific or known precisely, it could have been genetic, just the luck of the draw, he was that rare 1 in 100,000 dogs, we don’t know. His condition began one day in the second week of March, where we noticed his breathing was labored. It was not really noticeable until Thursday that week we realized he was looking very thin, his spine was showing through the fur on his back, he losing weight.
We made an appointment on Friday morning, was at the cardiologist by 2:00 pm and he passed at 7:55 pm. I spent the last hour with him. He was not on any meds, but he was laboring to breathe. He laid in my lap and was very tired. I gave him some oxygen and it made him rest better. This all happened so quickly. I know he was peaceful as I held him until he was gone. He died of a broken heart and now we are all broken hearted.
That goofy little guy was such a wonderful spark of joy to our family. It’s hard to accept that he is gone. We will always remember Albert laying by the fire this winter or chasing the hose stream around while Michelle was watering all summer. He was a trouble maker, a lover, a fighter, a little bit of a biter, but was responding to training really well. He may also have been a little bit of a poop eater.
We are left with many beautiful memories of our sweet sweet puppy, hundreds of photos and several great stories. We loved that little monster, we will miss him immensely.
Please enjoy the photos and thank you for all the love and support.
